Moreover, this year the Pandemic has stolen many smiles and has made people suffer even more than what they usually do. While talking to one of my friends, a topic came up: how schools and colleges have all gone online, but not every student can afford to buy a phone or tablet. The parents are somehow making ends meet and forget about buying a phone. It is then when it hit us with an idea, and after a discussion with the team of Fix My gadgets, we came up with the idea of helping those students and other needy people.
We at Fix my Gadget have started an initiative of collecting old phones, repairing them, and gifting it to the needy. We are appealing and requesting all of you to please donate your old phones. No matter what model it is, no issues what's it's brand if it is of no use to use, we can fix it and make it usable and helpful for someone if by any chance we are not able to fix it, we will dispose it and get it recycled so that it doesn't affect our environment.
It's a request not to throw your phone away like any other garbage. There is a proper process of disposing of your old cell phones and we are willing to take care of that as well.We are on a mission of providing digital means to those who are in need like those students who are having online classes but can't afford to buy a phone or those people who are separated from their family but can't afford to have a phone to stay connected with them. Phone can be a lifesaver .
By donating your phone you are not just helping a needy person but also helping your environment by cutting off extra pollution and carbon footprints. This is the time to actually utilize those old unusable, unwanted waste devices to spread some happiness and actually help someone who might need what you don’t need anymore.
Every year thousands of phones are being discarded, converting them into toxic waste. Instead of properly disposing and recycling, we throw the devices into the garbage that later add on to the carbon footprints. Recycling those devices is not as easy, so they end up in landfills; the harmful lead cadmium plastic silicon gets into the compost and turns into toxic elements that will eventually affect the environment and human health. Thankfully many initiatives make it easy and cost-free for the consumer to recycle their devices.
We all can participate in cutting our carbon footprints, and in the process of helping our environment, we can also help people in need. What would make our festive seasons better than making someone smile? All you have got to do is donate an old phone, the device that's no longer used by you. For that, you need to click on this link to provide your name, phone number, email id, phone's brand, and model that you will donate and select the location and an address from where we can collect that device. Our team member will contact you and visit your site to pick up the device. After that, the device will be thoroughly diagnosed, and if it can be repaired, we will fix it, and it will be donated to someone in need.
This Christmas, be someone's secret Santa and gift them a smile by donating your old phones and tablets. Let's work together to turn someone's dream of having a phone into reality. Your old unusable phone can bring tears of joy to someone's eye.
